Tour of the Solar Desalination Facility

On April 22^th, Environmental Engineering Graduate Student Jeb Shingler welcomed the 2024 IESTE interns for a tour of the UA Solar Desalination Test Facility.  In this system, a sunlight collected in the parabolic mirror heats a glycol solution that is used to heat brackish water to 80°C.  The heated brackish water then flows through a membrane distillation process that produces a purified water product.
