This internship at Tucson Electric Power will familiarize the students with utility scale solar across a decade’s worth of different installs. 2 IESTE students will intern with TEP.
Potential internship activities include the following:
- Data logging
- System monitoring
- Troubleshooting inverters/trackers
- Compatible inventory sourcing
- LAN - local area networks
- Civil issues/repairs
Key Internship Requirements:
- Ability to work outside in summer heat
- Ability to work flexible hours for heat (i.e. start early)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience troubleshooting electrical or PV systems
- Interest in/experience with PV system repairs when original equipment no longer available
- Computer networking (LAN) background
